36 Days of Type
36 Days of type is a project that invites designers, illustrators and graphic artists to express their creativity on the letters and numbers from the Latin alphabet and share it with the world. A project that aims to be a space for all to create typography and its endless graphic possibilities.
THE BEGINNING
When the pandemic struck, I seized the opportunity to create graphic illustrations inspired by LEGO blocks. Creating an isometric view in Adobe Illustrator for LEGO was fun and engaging to visualize the designs. Isometric drawings represent three-dimensional objects in two dimensions, where the three axes appear equally foreshortened and the angle between any two of them is 120 degrees. This technique is often used in technical and engineering drawings.
LEARNINGS
Participating in the 36 Days of Type challenge was an exhilarating and creatively fulfilling experience. Each day brought a new opportunity to explore and push the boundaries of typography, designing a unique letter or number. The challenge not only honed my design skills but also connected me with a vibrant community of artists and designers from around the world. Sharing my work and seeing the diverse interpretations from others was incredibly inspiring.
COOL NUMBERS!
My personal favourite from the entire series is the 'number 2'. The number 2 holds special significance for Gemini due to its representation of balance and partnership, which aligns with my nature.
