Inktober
This project is a digital exploration of Inktober series. As a form enthusiast, I have always been curious about shapes and forms. A passionate space for me to explore and express through a variety of possibilities. Here are few posters that I designed following the word of the day given by Inktober 2019 List.

WHAT IS INKTOBER?
Inktober is an annual art challenge that takes place during the month of October. It was created in 2009 by artist Jake Parker to improve inking skills and develop positive drawing habits. The challenge encourages artists to create one ink drawing every day for the entire month, following daily prompts provided by the official Inktober list, although some artists choose to create their own themes. It’s a fun and low-pressure way to boost creativity while being part of a larger community.
OBJECTIVES OF INKOTBER
-
Skill Improvement: Inktober is designed to help artists enhance their inking techniques, but participants can use any medium. The goal is to develop consistent drawing habits, improve creativity, and grow artistically.

-
Daily Practice: It encourages discipline by promoting daily art practice, which helps artists overcome creative blocks and build a productive routine.
-
Community Engagement: Inktober fosters a global community of artists who share their work on social media using the hashtag #Inktober. This allows for mutual inspiration, feedback, and exposure.

-
Creativity and Experimentation: Artists are challenged to think creatively and explore different subjects, styles, and techniques that they may not typically work with.

ABOUT THE PROJECT & LEARNINGS
For the series, I choose to design 12 posters by selecting words given in the Inktober 2019 List. The following word of the day was narrated through my imagination and understanding. This self initiated project polished my technical skills and my creativity thinking abilities. I really had fun playing around with digital effects in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
